ROAD HAZZARDS
Driving at home we take road hazzards such as junctions, traffic lights, roundabouts and level crossings in our stride. but when driving abroard it can never be assumed that features like these are used in the way we're used to. Other road users can present some unusual hazards too. There may be many more cyclists, trams and scooters than we're used to seeing on the road back home.
Extra attention has to be paid to warning signs and road markings. These signs may be unfiamiliar, and you will need to slow down and give yourself plenty of time to assess a hazard and decide the safest way to approach it.
In many countries there are hazards we simply don't come acress in the UK. Even wild animals can pose a threat that must be taken seriously to stay safe on the road abroad.
