Located in the southern part of Spain, Malaga has so much to offer its tourists and visitors. Known as the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, it is rich in culture and history, taking pride in its historical cathedrals, fortresses and bullrings. With a population of about 550,000, it is the largest Andalusian city on the coast and is known for the bars that line its beautiful beaches. Both locales and foreign visitors flock these bars for an exuberant nightlife of beers and tapas.
Malaga is a crucial transportation pot en route to other coastal locations. Visitors passing through often spend a night or two to enjoy the city's charm, especially that of casco antiguo, where food is always topnotch.
On the southwest of the city is the Malaga Airport, occupying an area of 273 hectares and is connected to the city by motorway E15 and Avenida de Velazquez. It is located 8 kilometers away from Malaga City and 5 kilometers away from Torremolinos, which is a neighboring city that equally attracts tourists with its beaches and vibrant nightlife.
Pablo Ruiz Picasso Terminal is the Terminal 2 (T2) of the Malaga Airport. It was constructed in late 1988 and was officially opened to the public on November 30, 1991.
T2 was designed by Ricardo Bofill's architecture studio, with two floors that have separate entries from outside. The upper floor is for departures and the lower for arrivals. An additional upper floor is provided as a shopping area. From the arrivals area, you can proceed to the basement where the car rental services are stationed.
In order to serve passengers well, Malaga Airport's Terminal 2 has 8 baggage pick-up belts, 14 walkways, 24 boarding gates and 65 check-in desks. Flight schedules at T2 may be checked through 0034952048838.
