The municipality of San Jose is in close proximity to the town of San Antonio. It faces the enormous San Jose bay, from which it took its name.
The area is perfect for any family holiday and there are almost half a dozen beaches within walking distances; plus a variety of options for nightly entertainments. There are a lot of sea adventures that can be enjoyed in the beaches, such as 'parascending'. This is a sport which involves suspension in the air some 100 or so meters up. At dusk, the incredible sunsets, both in San Jose and San Antonio, will take your breath away.
There are many options for accommodation if you come for a holiday in this beautiful Mediterranean bay. Apartments and hotels are a-plenty, most of them have their own swimming pools. Surprisingly, hotels, restaurants and bars in this resort are relatively less expensive than other resorts in the island.
There is a regular bus service that connects San Antonio to other areas of the island. They also have the renowned "disco buses" during the evening travels. So whether it is day or night, you can enjoy the island.
